Socioeconomic Assessment Consultant - Led the successful implementation of the socioeconomic research component of the “Implementing the Hellshire Hills and Portland Ridge Sub-areas Management Plans in Jamaica” project.

In April 2014, the Critical Ecosystems Partnership Fund (CEPF) provided funding to Caribbean Coastal Area Management Foundation to implement a project entitled “Implementing the Hellshire Hills and Portland Ridge Sub-areas Management Plans in Jamaica”. The main elements of the project included: support for co-management; improved development planning; ex situ conservation of threatened plants; coordination and strengthening of enforcement; increasing the sustainability of the PBPA; assessing the feasibility of implementing Conservation Agreements (CA) in Hellshire Hills Key Biodiversity Area (HHKBA); and monitoring. Education and awareness building will also form an integral part of the project activity integrated each of the strategies.
